Hello.
I’m Susan Joy.
I advise brands on sustainability, strategy, purpose, product, story & experience.
My north star:
A just and regenerative world in which businesses give back more than they take from the communities and ecosystems they touch, only creating products that add value to the world around them, and are produced in healthy, respectful, and responsible ways.
I help brands:
- embrace their uniqueness
I work with teams to hone their unique vision, purpose, and value proposition.
Helping edit and rethink their offering to only create products that add value to the world around them, generate joy, are needed, fit for purpose, designed for circularity and decomposition, and are produced in healthy, responsible, and respectful ways.
What makes you unique?
- unlock regenerative potential
I help brands and teams discover, unlock and activate their regenerative potential.
Doing less harm is no longer enough. Where can you create a positive impact? When we take a regenerative approach, problems become potential positive impact. Instead of aiming to create less harm, we aim to facilitate healing, build capacity, and generate systemic value, resilience and flourishing. Starting with respect, Through deep engagement with stakeholders across the value chain and product lifecycle we begin to see the whole system and the organization’s role within it. As we deepen our understanding and co-create relationships founded in reciprocity and respect, we create the conditions for positive impact and regeneration.
How might we see beyond the problems to the potential inherent in your unique context, stakeholders, and resources?
- seek golden glue
In all things, I seek golden glue to reconnect and heal what is broken.
Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, golden glue is a lens for reimagining a new path to healing and positive impact, one that rebuilds something more beautiful and more valuable from our broken shards, not hiding the scars of the past but acknowledging and celebrating them.
How might we reimagine our broken systems so that what once was broken is now where the value is?
